The Data & Analytics intern will act as a full member of the Data team, gaining valuable firsthand experience in the full data lifecycle, from strategy, tagging to reporting and optimizations. The Data & Analytics intern will report directly to the Director of Data & Analytics but will collaborate cross-capabilities with our PPC, Social, Media, SEO and Strategy teams.

This role is ideal for a puzzle solver who enjoys a challenge and seeing projects through from beginning to end. There will be no “busy work” involved with this internship – all experience will be directly transferrable to your future career, gaining experience in a wide array of client industries within the spaces of health care, technical software, technology, senior living and utilities!

 

Key requirements:

The ideal candidate will be comfortable with simple Excel functions (pivot tables, VLookups, IndexMatch, etc.), but most importantly, the ability to be independent and desire to learn new skills. Experience in the following would be a plus, but not necessary:

  • Experience in creating website tags, placing pixels, and tracking codes in Google Tag Manager
  • Ability to navigate Google Analytics and pull high-level reporting
  • Knowledge of Google Data Studio to present reporting
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Excellent communication skills are a must, as well as an ability to be client-facing and collaborate effectively within the CommCreative digital team
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills

CommCreative, a strategically minded, creatively fueled marketing agency, has an opportunity for a Web Project Management Intern to join our Web Development team. The Web Project Management Intern will play a key role in assisting with the development and implementation process for all digital projects. This intern will report to both the Manager of Web Experience and Senior Director of Digital Experience, as they’ll be working on projects for cross-functional teams.

 

The ideal candidate is:

  • Interested in learning how to update both Drupal and WordPress websites.
  • Interested in user experience.
  • A problem solver who doesn’t shy away from a challenging project.
  • An excellent communicator who isn’t afraid to raise their hand.
  • Skilled at prioritization and flexible, as priorities may change throughout the day and week.
  • A team player.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting directly to our Manager of Web Experience and Senior Director of Digital Experience:

  • Support the web development team and external partners in the following day-to-day activities:
    • Updating content on both Drupal and WordPress websites
    • Building new pages or updating existing pages to align with client marketing strategies
    • Updating of images, video, or other marketing assets on client websites as needed
    • Creating new emails and landing pages in various content marketing tools, including Figma, HubSpot, Pardot, and more
    • Organize project details & needs in Asana, Basecamp, Jira
  • Support the user experience team on ongoing website projects:
    • Assist with the creation of wireframes for websites and landing pages
    • Review digital designs through a user experience lens and provide feedback to designers
    • Review pages once built to ensure they match design files and provide feedback to developers
  • Actively communicate needs, requirements, and opportunities to the Manager of Web Experience for resolution as needed

 

Professional Skills and Qualifications:

  • Currently is a college senior or recent graduate pursuing a degree related to Marketing, Advertising, or General Business
  • Interested in learning the ins and outs of developing websites, landing pages, and other web-based applications
  • Portfolio or links to existing work is a plus but not required
  • Comfort in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting demands and opportunities
  • Ability to multitask and be comfortable with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Basecamp, Jira, and similar)
  • Direct experience developing in Drupal and WordPress is a plus but not required
  • Ability to transfer functional and design requirements into technical requirements
  • Proficiency and experience in Google Suite applications (Drive, Docs, Sheets)
  • Experience managing and working with cross-functional teams in past positions or on school projects
  • Ability to organize people, projects, and information
  • Coordinate with internal team members to ensure deliverables are understood and that milestones are met on time and with consistency and accuracy

 

Duration of internship and hours:

  • Minimum of 2–3 full days per week; can be more if interested (dependent on schedule availability)
  • Minimum of 6-week commitment; can be extended based on intern’s performance
