Venturing into a new brand identity.

 

 

Highland Capital Partners is a highly successful venture capital firm that has invested in well over 200 companies. What they had not invested in was their brand. In the process of giving their website a complete facelift, we also helped them rethink their brand in a way that would reflect their approach and focus on the companies they invest in.

Investing in Their Brand

Previously, Highland was content to let their success speak for itself. But with so many VC firms being launched in recent years, the industry has become crowded. Highland needed to make it clear through their messaging why they are different, and why they should be the VC firm of choice for young companies.

We developed a theme, “Go Beyond,” which is both a description of how Highland goes the extra mile for their clients and a rallying cry for entrepreneurs, telling them to never be satisfied and never settle in their quest to succeed.

 

Focusing on Their Clients

The website reflects Highland’s new messaging by putting the focus squarely on the companies they’re invested in. The homepage is devoted almost entirely to the entrepreneurs they work with, and the navigation is arranged by the categories that Highland serves.

 

Overall, we gave the site a clean, modern look that reflects the forward-thinking approach of the firm. Big photography and minimal copy resulted in a site that’s both visually stunning and easy to digest. A thoughtfully directed photo shoot of key team members helped position the firm as approachable, smart and confident.
